We’re on a MENTAL Mission
Dork Dancing started in response to the global mental health crisis that spiked in 2020 due to COVID19. Mental illness is on the rise and it’s threatening our ability to move well.
In the midst of craziness, sometimes we need to focus on what we can control instead of what we can’t. For us, that means releasing our own craziness. Dancing like a dork is something simple that helps; something most all of us can do.

Our mission is to overcome challenges in mental health. Dork Dancing is lightening the load.
We combat illness & build wellness by partying against some of the most universal mental health challenges that can hold us back from experiencing more joy. These include anxiety, overthinking, depression, stigma, self-doubt, and loneliness.
What we love most in life is waiting for us on the other side of fear. We are stepping across that line, moving out of fear and into love, together. We are #dorkdancing everyday out in the open public with a purpose to better the mental health of ourselves and those around us. We dance & advocate for mental health to improve it.
Origin Story
How & Why Dork Dancing Began in Da Nang
Dork Dancing started in the privacy of my room years ago, but it was the lockdown that gave it life in Da Nang. Dork Dancing grew from a fun, personal hobby to a passion project to an emerging, and aspiring, mental health movement.
